Counting down!!

Christmas came and went!

Exactly 1 more week to me starting Nursery 1 at Chiltern House @ Mountbatten! I am not feeling anything right now even though mummy kept reminding me that I will be starting school next week, so I must sleep early and wake up early etc.. she is worried I may not be able to wakey at 7am every morning to shower!!! Brrrrr..cold..

Checklists from mummy (in her mind of course - she usually don't write things down but depend on her brain power..sighz)

• School bag - I have about 4 bags at the moment, not sure which one to bring to school. Mummy will decide after meeting the teachers on 03 Jan 2011



School bag - Christmas pressie from Uncle Jimmy

• Uniforms & PE attire - checked!! 2 sets of school uniform (way too big for me even though mummy bought the smallest size of XS!) and 1 set of PE uniform. Mummy skipped the cap (very ugly!!) and socks (she will get something nice outside)
• Water bottle - Hmm.. not yet wor! I have the current Thomas & Train, mabbe will use that for school and get a new one for weekend use.
• Shoes - I have many pairs. Should I wear my crocs so that I can wear it easily or I should wear proper shoes in case I need to run ard. Mummy still looking for a nice Puma sport shoes for me
• Hair cut - checked! Here I am, sitting comfortably in the chair plopped up high waiting for the super rough aunty to start cutting my hair. Mummy kept telling her not to use too much strength on me. Well, mentally mummy said will not patronise this hair salon anymore. We will just go to Salon Vim to look for Uncle Melvin, mummy's hair stylist!

Busy December & Stressful Jan and the upcoming months

What a busy month December is for everyone in the family!

04th - My birthday party in Singapore
10th - 13th - Mummy & I went back to Malaysia to visit Ah Gong & Ah Ma and also to celebrate my lunar birthday. Too bad Ah Ma wasn't feeling well so no dinner outing..
18th - We went USS..photos have been uploaded to FB. I enjoyed myself tremendously!
19th - JB outing with Daddy's side of the family
24th - Christmas gathering with my pals and mummy's friend at home complete with gifts exchange. Mummy, you've yet to start wrapping the pressies..hehe
25th - Shopping & Dinner with Daddy's family
26th - Uncle Jack & Aunty Janet's Guo Da Li and mabbe dinner because it is my parent's 1 year weddng anniversary

Mummy still have no plans on how to celebrate New Year's Day! Most probably it will be spent at home because the crowd will be everywhere..but she was mentioning to Daddy about driving up to Melaka on 01 Jan 11 for a 1 day trip.

02 Jan - I have a playdate with Izzy..she last came to our house when we were still a baby and mummy still in confinement (I think). Now that we have both grown up, I am sure we can play well together!

03 Jan - Mummy gotta attend Chilterns House Orientation without bringing me..she probably will prepare a list of questions to ask. She still do not know what to pack for my bag and what type of bag should I bring to school..

04 Jan - First day of school! The plan is for mummy to send me to school every morning. If I take the bus, I have to wake up at 6.15am which is way too early for everyone..so, mummy decided to opt for a one-way bus ride which costs her $200!!! But what to do..
She'll take leave on 4th - 6th to see how I cope with school. She seems very relaxed about it because she is pretty confident I will not have a problem adapting to any environment - I am independent just like mummy..hahaha

15th Jan - Mummy's bestie wedding in KL! Planning to book a hotel rather than going back to Klang because the traffic in KL is erratic and mummy is not familiar with the route.

23rd Jan - Uncle Jack's wedding dinner!!!

The following weekend after that mummy will be busy making pineapple tarts & ngoh hiang for Chinese New Year! Next year, we will be going back to Ah Gong & Ah Ma's house for reunion...yippee!! It's more fun going back to Klang than staying in Singapore. The mood is lacking..mummy couldn't agree it more..hopefully 2012 can also be the same with another addition to our family!

After all the hectic months, it will be March..and mummy says she will then have to start preparing herself for the arrival for our new little babe! Nothing much to buy this time round but some necessities is still a must. I can't wait..I've been giving my little babe kisses every night before I sleep. Only thing I can't compromise is that little babe will not share bed with us! Mummy says she will place little babe in the other room so as not to disturb me..hehe.

The Day I turn TWO!

04 Dec - It was not a sunny day.. mummy anticipated rain just like last year. Can't be helped since it is December. I slept till about 10ish with Daddy while mummy woke up early to potter around the house making sure last minute items are packed and ready. We waited at home for Mrs Chan to deliver my Barney jelly and then drove to Metrocake to collect my cool iPad theme cake. It was already pouring by the time we reach KFC!

As usual, I did not take my nap because of all the commotion and as usual, I stick to mummy like how a bee will be attracted to honey! Mummy din like it because she wasn't feeling very good and she had to carry me around like a koala hanging over her..hahaha.

When all the guests started to arrive, I too warmed up and no longer needed mummy to be around. Color returned to her face soon after that..at least that is better. She attempted 1 piece of fried chicken even though it turns her off!

Chicky came out to meet & greet during the cake cutting session! I am so happy.. I wasn't scared at all. Kept wanting to point out to mummy his eyes, nose, ear, stomach etc..haha! Chicky was cool to have his photos taken with everyone. I felt like a cool kid just by having Chicky at my birthday party!

05 Dec - mummy was still feeling a little under the weather (this 2nd baby really made mummy look terrible. She kept bending over the toilet bowl and daddy kept asking me to give mummy a hug to make her feel better) but she still woke up early to prepare breakfast for me and Daddy. We attended Hayden's party and after that she just wants to go home and just sleep it off! All 3 of us slept till 6.30pm & decided against going to Tanglin Mall cos mummy don't feel up to it, so it is to Tampines One NYDC. Food sucks!

Daddy looked forward to reaching home and have MSW cake! They sang a birthday song to me again..hehe. Mummy sang to me each and everytime she hugs me..I feel loved! Again, I hated cakes and ice cream, so Daddy and Mummy shared a slice of the cake and kept the remaining for my beloved 'ah ma' aka nanny and jie jie.

I am looking forward to my 3rd birthday celebration.. mummy may plan to go for holiday then! Hmm.. not too sure of her plans cos she dun share it with me.

Baby, mummy & daddy loves you very much!! We pray everyday for you to be healthy, happy & a cheerful boy.. study hard, love your elders as much as they love you and be someone useful to the society!

Short Getaway and a Birthday Party!

Thursday today, Friday then Saturday!! I am having my 2nd birthday party at KFC @ Big Splash.. in the beginning mummy wanted to have it at McDonald's but she saw a children's party at KFC and it looks quite fun so she changed..Big Splash is so that we can go and play at the beach after that :)

Not many of my friends are able to turn up because it is Dec and it's holiday period..most of them are going for hols..mabbe next year it will be my turn to go for hols since mummy once said once I started school, our holiday will have to coincide with school holidays!

I still do not know what mummy's going to get for me but she kept telling daddy that I will love the present and it will be the only thing I will play at home after that..she even plan to keep away most of my toys to make space for this giant toy! Hee... I can't wait.

We just got back from Genting, a short trip made possible with a few of mummies friend. I was there with Darrell kor kor, Daniell n Zhi Yan! Because of work commitment (as usual) Papa couldn't make it so we car pooled with Zhi Yan..I was abit cranky because I only slept for 3 hours that morning. I cried myself to sleep in mummy's arm and when I reached Genting, I slept again..but woke up crying for another 1 hour! Mummy was of course angry with me because she dislike kids that keep crying and whining especially during meal times.

They must be the hippiest kids around Genting with matching clothes!

Zach loves the Antique Car ride - we were there at 9.50pm!!!

I got several beatings from her during this trip: once when I dirtied myself while running round n round, when I was crying for no reason, when I made mummy fell forward while taking the escalator..ooh..I must be a nottie boy! But after each beating, mummy will tell me why she beat me, hoping that I will understand but I guess I am still too young to remember! Sigh.. of course after each scolding, I will give mummy my sweetest (cheekiest), kiss her and hug her! That always worked on her..I m so irresistable! Haha

Mummy rewarded me with another ride the morning before we left..we paid a freaking RM44 for 1 ride!!!

I must be one lucky boy!! I'm one of those few lucky ones that mummy will spend time scouring websites searching for yummeh recipe for class parties!
Mummy still a beginner hence nothing fanciful for my class party at Julia Gabriel Playclub tomorrow. It's our last class tmr n it means PARTY!!

Randoms

Less than 1/2 a month to me turning 2 years old!

Mummy is holding a low key birthday party for me.. it will be held in KFC @ East Coast. Hoping the weather will be kind to us so that we can have some sand, sea and sun after the party!

There'll be birthday cake of course, agar agar cake from Mrs Chan, welcome gifts and extra welcome gifts bought by mummy. The theme is a mixture of Barney and Mickey, 2 of my fave character at this point though KFC Mgmt do not allow balloons of copyright character to be used..ahh..

The cake!! Mummy kept telling me I will have the coolest cake in Singapore..I will probably be the first 2 year old boy to have this cake made and it is really customised for me and me alone!! Wow..It's a surprise so shan't tell u yet..haha

After Dec,, it will be Jan 2011 and I will be attending class at Chiltern House Mountbatten. We visited the school premise last week and I love it there... they have lotsa numbers and alphabets and shapes pasted on the wall and I recognised most of them. Does that mean I am ready for school? Oh..I will be taking a school bus though because mummy needs to work so can't send me to school and secondly she wants me to be independent. Independent at 3 years old? Hmm...I will try.. :)

I am very tired!! We reached KLIA late night on Thursday and I immediately fell asleep.
We shopped the whole of Friday. Lucky for me mummy rented the buggy ride for me.


I don't have to walk!! Woohoo..


Lil Ethan has grown so much!! He loves following me ard but I still prefer to play with older kids.. Hehe

Independent

He's beginning to learn to be independent. Started one fine day when he know how to remove his diaper and then he knows how to remove his pants. This was followed by learning to unbutton, button, zip n unzip. Though not very successful on the last four tasks at least he's still trying n not giving up.
He's been trying to wear his own shoes for the longest time ever n finally he knows which side is the right side. Happy!!

Fun & Happy

Sorry for the lack of updates! Blame it on mummy's project that fails to land..the plane is still circling around Taiwan International Airport finding a perfect time to land. Just hoping it doesn't do a crash-landing..arrggh..

I am happy to say that Zach finally decided that speaking is a nice thing! He manages alot of words now though he is not forming sentences yet but I am still a happy mama no less. He's into transportation - knowing bus, taxi, lorry, truck, cars etc.. He can call me Mi Mi and his daddy Pa Pa - loud and clear! My dearest family must be the happiest lot cos he can call each and every one of them too..I know my parents are very very happy whenever Zach calls them out. Hahaha

He's a parrot now and that means I have to watch my language at home. There was once I accidentally said Oh Shit and the next thing I know this boy was saying Oh Jit Oh Jit.. Pa Pa quickly say it is Oh Jeez Oh Jeez so that he can clear the Shit out of his head and start with Jeez..jeez, mummy is surely one blur sotong - what to do, so many things are occupying my mind at the moment and the lack of sleep daily ain't helping.

Have not catched up with friends for long time and here it is with the gang - always makes me happy to see Zach playing with them.

Love it to all of the kids wearing same theme shirt! One commented that Zach and Daniell are twins? Hmm..cos of the same built, I guess but I wouldn't mind having a twin..

I can spout

these words when being asked to.. Mi Mi, Pa Pa, Ah Gong, Ah Ma, Ah Yi, Ah Gu, Bus-h, Car, Ma (Mandarin for wipe) and this morning he said Nice and when I was changing him, I asked him to pronounce his name like how I used to call him Zach Zach..out came Nack Nack..hahaha! Cute..

Does that mean he is talking? He is uber cute lately.. never fail to stick to me like a glue and wants me to play with him before he sleeps and he will want to share the same pillow with me and put his hands on my neck and his leg on my waist, as though afraid that I will not be there when he wakes up! How sweet is that..thinking of it makes my heart melt few times.. I wanna be a SAHM and spend all my time with him... :'(

So into stickers lately! Mummy splurged on a Sesame Street sticker book for me just now.. We were shopping at Great World. Hee

15 Aug 2010 - I finally knew how to drink from my straw cup!

Out of the blue mummy clean my mag mag and gave me some water. I did not know how to draw in my breath and remembering what grandpa said about letting him blow bubbles first, mummy showed me how to blow bubbles to the water..I am amazed! Took the mag mag and start to try..
Mummy went to clean the dishes and daddy suddenly shouted "Mummy come take a look, Zach can drink from the straw cup already"
Mummy dropped everything and ran out! They sat there for 30 minutes watching me finish 1 full mag mag..keke

I did this in PlayClub last week.
I love it and wore it for a few days. =)

Budding Artist

Drawing with a crayon involves fine motor skills such as grasping and holding, as well as hand-eye coordination and imagination. If you can't recognize any straight lines in your toddler's scribbles or your child doesn't seem interested in drawing, it's too early to worry. It probably just means that your child is more focused on developing gross motor skills right now, such as walking, running, climbing stairs, and pushing and pulling toys and boxes.

I came across part of the article above from the weekly BabyCenter newsletter..Zach seems to be on track for this one cos he has shown great interest in drawing and last night we realised his grasping skill is really good! He holds the crayon like holding a pen and when I guide his hand to trace out 1, 2, 3 (start simple), his hand is flexible enough for me to guide! Still too early to gauge if he is right or left-handed cos he seems to be able to draw with both hands..hehe

Shoes and counting

My shoes are taking up 3 rows of our shoe cabinet..I turned 20 month old today and I have 20 pairs of shoes since then.. It's a record that I am trying to break mummy's cos she has more than that in our shoe cabinet (see below)

Well, some of these shoes of mine are still too big and some no longer fit! Mummy tried on these shoes almost weekly to ensure that I can wear them without feeling too tight (else it will go to a waste as these shoes are 'branded' and 'expensive').

There is another glass 'wall' that we pasted all his artwork from his weekend classes at Julia Gabriel. He loves art session the most, not sure if it is getting his hand dirty that he loves or he has an artist flair like his grandpa or Aileen ah yi..cos mummy and daddy can't even draw a decent picture..haha

I realised that Zach rarely mix around with other kids. No doubt he is sociable and not afraid of stranger but when I go out with my friends and their kids for playdates, Zach don't 'socialise' and always prefer to keep to himself or playing with my phone instead..

Haircut

Mummy and grandma kept complaining that my hair is messy especially my front patch.. So an impromptu detour to the mamak shop at Compass Point when we went there for dinner last week. The haircut session again went well without any drama but the I am not happy cos the big fat man was holding on to my head not allowing me to move!

The only saving grace to them by me not crying or shouting is cos mummy kept telling me how handsome I will look after that..

He does alot of this action lately..deep in thoughts. Muahaha

I started my first day at Julia Gabriel Playclub yesterday. Mummy dressed me in a grubbier than usual outfit because I will be getting all dirty and wet during the class and she doesn't want to 'spoil' my 'brandier' outfit..hahaha

The class was fun. We learnt the letter 'D' which I am very familiar with. I played with Word World very often to know how to spell DOG! But this term's theme is Underwater, so D stands for Dolphin. We did painting using newspaper and then coloring using crayons.

I overheard mummy telling daddy how I was paying attention at Teacher Dee when she show us how to do the newspaper painting and during the Mandarin story-telling time. She was surprised even when I knew what to do after that..she's pleased at my progress! *Mummy beams happily*

After the class, I was superbly tired and immediately fell asleep while mummy and daddy drove to Hard Rock Cafe to meet Aunty Tara, Aunty Phyl and Aunt Belinda with their princess and prince. Had loads of fun on a Saturday..

New Beginning

When I woke up from my nap on Sunday, both my parents were busy in my room, dismantling my cot and moving some furnitures around.

Mummy placed me on the chair and let me do some coloring while they continue to be busy.

Concentration

Within half an hour, it is ready..mummy wiped and clean, paste up the wall decal. Voila..my bed is ready.

I climbed up happily and show them how I will drink my milk and sleep tonight.

I even have my 'friends' to accompany me

When it's bedtime, I cried because I am so used to sleeping with mummy hugging me and tonight, we are separated. Couldn't understand why must I sleep on my own bed when I can cuddle next to them every night. Mummy keep saying I am a big boy and I should have my own bed..so I end up sleeping with mummy holding on to my hands! (at one point, she even climbed to my bed and hug me to sleep...)
