Though he's not very clear in his pronunciation I can still understand what he's trying to sing. :)

We went back to grandma's place for the weekend n mummy took extra 2 days off so that everyone esp Ah Gong n Ah Ma can spend more time with ME!


Ethan is learning how to walk & it's more fun playing with him now. Everyone kept praising at how good I am as older brother - constantly trying to carry him though I can't lift him up. Hehe.. He's cute! Mummy hope that I'll be nice to lil' brother in another month time.

My First Excursion

I'm off for my first school excursion - Jacob Ballas Children's Garden!! We congregate at school first and depart at 8.45am sharp. Mummy want me to have the experience taking bus with my classmates n teachers.

It was a hot hot day!! All of us were perspiring.. but we still had fun singing, listening to story-telling as well as learning about fruits, insects and different plants!

My past few entries in this blog is about Zach being sick!! Well, this entry is no different.. Gee.. He's falling sick almost every month that visiting a PD is like a ritual! Not to mention missing classes for few weeks.. My moolah is flying out of the window on a monthly basis + PD fee..
This time round we're a tad luckier. His fever broke on the 4th day so there's no need for blood test.. Was dreading this!
Since he's well and can sing with his loudest voice we decided to let him attend his class party today. Last minute decision!! Had to rush to Cold Storage last night to get some ingredients to bake him a cake for today..


Baked him Japanese Soft Cotton Cheesecake - my favie!! I shuld stick to what I've been doing instead of trying.. I switched my oven to grill mode in the last 10 minutes and the top charred till my kitchen was filled with smoke! Panic me opened the oven door immediately causing the temp to change sharply.. Cake shrank from a round 9" to I don't know what size but I have to trimmed it to be a square cake!!
Lucky after deco it still look presentable.

Sick

I have been sick since late Jan.. Come to think of it, could be earlier than that cos I had a bad bout of allergy! After that incident, I've been to the PD every 2 weeks!!
Mummy is as usual worried n having sleepless night. She worries about everything, from me to her work to coping with my lil bro.
Wonder will this be the last visit to PD?

Allergy.. Not Again??

Mummy received 2 missed calls on Wednesday. She was away from her desk hence couldn't hear it ring.

Jocelyn Jie Jie Whatsapp-ed mummy saying I had an outbreak of red patches. Hmmm.. Mummy first thought was that it's nothing serious but when she called Ah Ma, she told mummy I woke up fr my nap crying, vomited twice too.

Mummy immediately pushed her 5pm meeting till nxt Tues n took a cab back!!

I greeted her with swollen face. She nearly cried when first saw me. Red patches on face.. Swollen eyes, runny nose n phlegmy cough. The last 2 is by papa who was sick but still.. Tsk tsk


We went to PD at Parkway. Dr Ee said it is allergy & prev few cases he has seen shows allergy to dust mites. Where could I hv been exposed to dust mites? Hmm.. Anyway, he recommends another round of allergy prick test after CNY. Mummy is worried but she hopes all r tested negative including cows milk. Some allegens to b tested: dust mites, miso, silver fish, cows milk.

Follow-up

This is my 2nd week attending Nursery 1. I still cried a few seconds when mummy had to bid me farewell..but the moment she left the class, I soon forgot about her and run ard playing with blocks and the kitchen set. *He is just crying for the sake of crying.. and gosh, very sticky to me lately. Mabbe the reason is the unborn child I am carrying*

Everyone at home will ask me "What did you learn in school today?" My standard reply "ABC".. muahaha. Actually I learnt alot in school. Mummy said I will be learning about body parts this term. Something I am very familiar with because I was being taught about body parts even before attending school.

Now, mummy is teaching me to remember my parents name. "What is mummy's name?" I will promptly reply "Mummy's name Kat, meow". "What is daddy's name?" "Daddy's name Yong Teck". "What is your name?" "Name Zach".. *He will always never fail to include the meow each time I asked him my name*

Mummy & Daddy is also cultivating the habit of going to bed at 10pm every night, exception is given to me on Friday and Saturday. Mummy will sing the day of the week song everyday so that I can remember what day is each day. Going to bed at 10pm is no sweat for me because Ah Ma (my babysitter) actually helped to change my nap time to late afternoon. Latest by 3pm I will nap for 1.5hours. By 10pm daily, I will be rubbing eyes, asking for my milk! Mummy will read me a book after that and then it will be lights off!

Besides all these, my diet oso needs to be changed! Currently, I only eat food that I am familiar with. Food that I've never tasted before I shun them off..bad habit! So mummy is trying to introduce me to more variety of food and cuisine. No more the usual of wantan noodle, chicken rice, baked rice, porridge, tamago sushi etc.. She gave me unagi sushi, chawanmushi, mushrooms, spaghetti, meatballs etc. She's still thinking of what other food I should try...

Weekend is supposed to be R&R. Mummy allowed me to sleep in and we went shopping! She introduced me to Mango Yoghurt drink..yumz!

Starting Nursery

Tomorrow is D Day!! I'll be starting Nursery 1 at Chiltern House..

Counting down!!

Christmas came and went!

Exactly 1 more week to me starting Nursery 1 at Chiltern House @ Mountbatten! I am not feeling anything right now even though mummy kept reminding me that I will be starting school next week, so I must sleep early and wake up early etc.. she is worried I may not be able to wakey at 7am every morning to shower!!! Brrrrr..cold..

Checklists from mummy (in her mind of course - she usually don't write things down but depend on her brain power..sighz)

• School bag - I have about 4 bags at the moment, not sure which one to bring to school. Mummy will decide after meeting the teachers on 03 Jan 2011



School bag - Christmas pressie from Uncle Jimmy

• Uniforms & PE attire - checked!! 2 sets of school uniform (way too big for me even though mummy bought the smallest size of XS!) and 1 set of PE uniform. Mummy skipped the cap (very ugly!!) and socks (she will get something nice outside)
• Water bottle - Hmm.. not yet wor! I have the current Thomas & Train, mabbe will use that for school and get a new one for weekend use.
• Shoes - I have many pairs. Should I wear my crocs so that I can wear it easily or I should wear proper shoes in case I need to run ard. Mummy still looking for a nice Puma sport shoes for me
• Hair cut - checked! Here I am, sitting comfortably in the chair plopped up high waiting for the super rough aunty to start cutting my hair. Mummy kept telling her not to use too much strength on me. Well, mentally mummy said will not patronise this hair salon anymore. We will just go to Salon Vim to look for Uncle Melvin, mummy's hair stylist!

Busy December & Stressful Jan and the upcoming months

What a busy month December is for everyone in the family!

04th - My birthday party in Singapore
10th - 13th - Mummy & I went back to Malaysia to visit Ah Gong & Ah Ma and also to celebrate my lunar birthday. Too bad Ah Ma wasn't feeling well so no dinner outing..
18th - We went USS..photos have been uploaded to FB. I enjoyed myself tremendously!
19th - JB outing with Daddy's side of the family
24th - Christmas gathering with my pals and mummy's friend at home complete with gifts exchange. Mummy, you've yet to start wrapping the pressies..hehe
25th - Shopping & Dinner with Daddy's family
26th - Uncle Jack & Aunty Janet's Guo Da Li and mabbe dinner because it is my parent's 1 year weddng anniversary

Mummy still have no plans on how to celebrate New Year's Day! Most probably it will be spent at home because the crowd will be everywhere..but she was mentioning to Daddy about driving up to Melaka on 01 Jan 11 for a 1 day trip.

02 Jan - I have a playdate with Izzy..she last came to our house when we were still a baby and mummy still in confinement (I think). Now that we have both grown up, I am sure we can play well together!

03 Jan - Mummy gotta attend Chilterns House Orientation without bringing me..she probably will prepare a list of questions to ask. She still do not know what to pack for my bag and what type of bag should I bring to school..

04 Jan - First day of school! The plan is for mummy to send me to school every morning. If I take the bus, I have to wake up at 6.15am which is way too early for everyone..so, mummy decided to opt for a one-way bus ride which costs her $200!!! But what to do..
She'll take leave on 4th - 6th to see how I cope with school. She seems very relaxed about it because she is pretty confident I will not have a problem adapting to any environment - I am independent just like mummy..hahaha

15th Jan - Mummy's bestie wedding in KL! Planning to book a hotel rather than going back to Klang because the traffic in KL is erratic and mummy is not familiar with the route.

23rd Jan - Uncle Jack's wedding dinner!!!

The following weekend after that mummy will be busy making pineapple tarts & ngoh hiang for Chinese New Year! Next year, we will be going back to Ah Gong & Ah Ma's house for reunion...yippee!! It's more fun going back to Klang than staying in Singapore. The mood is lacking..mummy couldn't agree it more..hopefully 2012 can also be the same with another addition to our family!

After all the hectic months, it will be March..and mummy says she will then have to start preparing herself for the arrival for our new little babe! Nothing much to buy this time round but some necessities is still a must. I can't wait..I've been giving my little babe kisses every night before I sleep. Only thing I can't compromise is that little babe will not share bed with us! Mummy says she will place little babe in the other room so as not to disturb me..hehe.
