Aquaducks Trial

~ Infant/Pre-School Water Safety Programme ~(6-48 Months Old)

Children will lean through play and positive reinforcement with emphasis on breath control and personal safety skills.Safety First....is the primary aim of our lessons. In order to maximize this, children must learn how to be independent and respect the water. No floatation devices (i.e. armbands, rubber rings) are used during the lessons to enhance personal safety skills in real life situation.
BENEFITS OF PARENT 'N' CHILD SWIM PROGRAMME
≈ Mastering water skills at an early age that increases water safety.
≈ Strengthening of lungs and heart functions.
≈ Increased healthy growth of body.
≈ Improved co-ordination and self-confidence.
≈ Enhancement of parent-child bonding with patience and love.
≈ Enjoying a better quality of life by strengthening the mind and body

Zach enjoyed himself very much at the trial despite only catching a 15minutes power nap just before the class!

Photos speak a thousand words!

The early birds gets to play with the rings

Teaching them different skills n relating them back to words from nursery rhymes

I need to upload this particular video.. look at how important his toes is to him! Haha

We were all singing Twinkle Twinkle and Zach probably thought "Hey, it's sleeping time because mommy always sing this during bedtime".

Lil Gym

Thanks for Jappooh a.k.a Yue Mei for coordinating a free trial class at Lil Gym Marina Square.

Listening to instruction

We were late for a good 20minutes because Zach was cranky in the morning and only slept for 30minutes.. mommy did not have any time to pump hence gotta latch him before going out. Ooppss...

Zach's a pro in this having seen mommy doing it every night

It was an enjoyable session. Good workout for mommy. I can feel my little mouse aching after that session. We have to carry the baby up and down going round and round. Hahaha..

Zach trying to go on four

Trying to stand on his own

Zach swam

in a pool for the first time yesterday! The weather was kinda windy in the morning but at about 4plus, the sun was very hot, hence decided to bring him swimming. Quickly got him changed and mommy packed all basic stuff - towel, diaper. She din even bother to pack extra set of clothes or shower gel because the facility wasn't very complete. There isn't any place for baby to shower.

Looking good in his ON rashguard

He went in without a swim diaper.. oopss

He looks kinda lost

How mommy shower him then? Carry him into the shower room and change while holding on to him... abit inconvenient.

We need to get him a thermal suit to keep warm and a neck float as well. Next on the buying list then..

Happy 7 Month Old, Zach

Time flies when you are having a ball of time! We indeed were having a smashing good time with Zach spending every waking moment minus our working time with our precious. I was so afraid of missing out on his important milestone. It breaks my heart each time I look at Zach thinking why mommy can't be spending day and night with him, taking good care of him, protecting him and giving him the best in life! Well, the contradicting facts of life. I need to work in order to earn moolahs to take good care of him, provide for him etc..

Zach has grown quite a bit. Last weigh was 7.7kg, 70cm. Come to think of it, should have bought 4D, 7770. Hahahaha..

2 post earlier I mentioned he can sit fairly well and now he can sit very well. Oohh..he can do yoga poses as well. I can't believe how flexible baby is. He can bend his body all the way down and hand reach out. He can also lift both of his legs up, sucking both toes together! At times, it will be his milk bottle, his thumb and index finger in his mouth. Cute when he does that.

Talkative Zach

I do hope he grows up to be like me.. an extrovert. He's very very chatty lately, ability for him to show more emotions and try his best to tell us what he wants, be it carrying him (lifting both arms out), hungry (scratching and pulling my shirt), going out (kicking me while looking at the door).

Look at how determined he is to 'squash' the pau

Few things that we intend to start him on is swimming at public pool, taking professional shots of him to be used for our customary, 2 meals on cereal or porridge per day instead of 1 except on weekends, going for morning walk at East Coast. Can't wait!

My poor baby

Zach is turning 7 month soon, 5 months shy from him turning 1 years old and mummy is tired from breastfeeding. We decided to bring him to do an allergy test at Kinder Clinic. One of the condition is that he must not have rash outbreak, be on anti-histamine or any kind of medication else the result will not be accurate. It was a tough one though because Zach is practically on either runny nose or cough or fever medicine every week! Bleah..blame it on him being in infantcare.

He made my day on Thursday because he readily finish the avocado brown rice cereal I made! I note that he don't like his food hot (weird) but he prefer room temperature (yucks!) food. Anyway, we were the first patient hence the wait was bearable (compared to my previous visit which I waited for 3hrs!). Dr. Dawn explained the procedure and asked us a few questions on allergy, sinus history - all comes from hubby!

The test!

Nurse made 10 marks on Zach's back. We're testing him on 9 highest probable allergen - cow's milk, soy milk, peanut, shrimp, egg white, egg yolk, cod fish, wheat. It was immediate on one particular spot and I suspect it was cow's milk. It looked like Zach had mosquite bite and it was a big patch. Dr Dawn is surprise that soy milk did not return a positive result even though I told her about Zach's reaction previously. She then proceed to put a drop of Isomil on Zach's back and did the test again. Voila! It turned red..gosh! I felt like crying.

Waiting 15 minutes for the prick test result

It only meant 2 choices for me; 1) Breastfeed till he overcome the allergy 2) Purchase milk powder that costs between $34 - $77 per 400g per tin!! Even if I eat abalone daily it will not be as expensive as his formula and what's more, it is not guaranteed my dear boy can take it.

This post was about 1 week old that I totally forgot what I wanted to blog.. am so sleepy!

Zach's face was covered with rashes due to the prick test.. his allergy towards these allergens will get worse as he grow older. :(
